I’m a wife, blogger, and middle school leader. I love my various roles and the opportunity to build strong, positive relationships in each. What I enjoy most about being a wife is that I have a partner in faith who loves the Lord. What I love most about being a blogger is that I get to share God’s messages of hope with people across the globe. What I love most about my role as a school leader is the unlimited potential for growth as well as the opportunity to form lasting partnerships. Leading in any capacity is difficult, but when you are called to do it, the Lord provides.
I started this blog as a means of chronicling my journey of Servant Leadership, but I believe that it has taken on a deeper purpose. As visitors read about my every day experiences as seen through a spiritual lens, I know that they’ll take the meat of my messages — the scriptures — and nourish themselves. I’m sure they’ll remember the stories and get to know me as a result, but the anecdotes are merely the vessels that store the meat. My hope is that you find encouragement here, and when you do, please share it with me. Encouragers need encouragement too.
My posts are primarily about the importance of building relationships — hence the name of my blog, Two Are Better Than One. Inspiration for the name of my blog comes from Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 which punctuates the need to work with others. No one should have to navigate the world alone. To help me navigate, I use the word of God as my guide. I spend a little time in scripture each day to draw strength and to reflect on these words as I apply them to my life, but most of all, so that I can share my knowledge and be a blessing to others. It brings me immense joy to serve God and to use my spiritual gifts to honor him. James 4:14 reminds us that life is short. Why not spend it blessing others?
